Oceania’s Riviera to Sail from Miami to Caribbean in November

Oceania Cruises’ newest ship, the 1,250-passenger Riviera, will arrive at its Miami homeport on Nov. 29, from where it will offer five Caribbean voyages featuring ports of calls across the eastern and southern Caribbean. The Riviera, which debuted in Barcelona in May, which will arrive in Miami following its inaugural European season, is featuring 12 Caribbean departures through March 28, 2013.

Those itineraries include “Idyllic Isles,” an 11-night sailing departing roundtrip from Miami on Nov. 29, 2012, and visiting Philipsburg, St. Maarten (a new port for Oceania Cruises); St. John’s, Antigua; Bridgetown, Barbados; Castries, Saint Lucia; Gustavia, St. Barts; and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The 10-day “Mayan Mystique” itinerary departs roundtrip from Miami and sails to George Town, Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico; Belize City, Belize; Santo Tomas, Guatemala; Roatan, Honduras; Costa Maya, Mexico; and Key West, with four sailings between Dec. 10, 2012 and Mar. 18, 2013.

Three additional Caribbean departures of 10 to 14 days will depart roundtrip from Miami between Dec. 20, 2012 and March 28, 2012, offering seven sailings in all. In addition, Oceania’s new Culinary Discovery Tours will explore local food offerings of the islands side-by-side with the ship’s chefs. Guests who book by Sept. 30, 2012 will receive two-for-one cruise fares and free air transportation and bonus savings of up to $3,000 per stateroom.
